However, the BFW Classroom Compass has some unique features, and its privacy practices in connection with such features are described below. The information provided below is in addition to, and not in lieu of, any non-conflicting information contained in the highschool.bfwpub.com privacy notice.
Registration Website users must register with our website in order to gain access to or use certain website features such as event registration and commenting. In connection with registration, we may ask you to provide information such as your full name, email address, general field(s) of interest and employment details. We will use such personal information to provide you with the services and/or products you select. For example, we may use your email address to notify you of information relating to your account. Information you provide at registration or in your "Profile" section may also be used to customize your experience on the site.
Creating a Personal Profile Once a user, you may provide additional information in the "Profile" section describing your skills and professional experience. You may also upload a photo of yourself. Providing additional information beyond what is required at registration is entirely optional, but enables you to better identify yourself.
Visibility of Your Information and Comments to Other Members of the BFW Classroom Compass Once you've registered, the following information will automatically be available to all other users: your user name, your photo (if uploaded), how long you've been a member, and your email address.
In addition to other information passively collected by the site (see the sections entitled "Cookies" and "Other Passive Collection of Information" in the Bedford, Freeman, & Worth High School Publishers Privacy Notice), this site also tracks: what users post, (ii) what users comment on, (iii) what items of content users view and how often they view it, (iv) what users upload, (v) how many times users download specific content, and (vi) how users categorize material (by means of tags which are searchable by other users.) This information is also automatically made available to all other users of the BFW Classroom Compass.
As a default, all comments you post on the BFW Classroom Compass will be attributed to you and your profile. All comments posted on blogs and forums will be publicly visible, and you will be identified as the originator of the comment.
